Scenario 1

Uncontrollable flow of thoughts
Al is a 15 year old boy with ASD.
He is easily taken for being cantankerous or cussed.
His approach to especially adult persons in his scool is often a sort of "verbal karate". A game he can loose or win. E.g. when he is starting a lesson in math. Al: "What am I supposed to do now?" Ad: " As you can se on your scedual; math." Al: "Define math!". Ad: "Today it`s page 26" Al :"Is that math" Ad: "It`s math today" Al: "What about all the rest of math?" Ad: "You can`t do all mathstuff in one lesson" Al: "We learn nothing in this scool" and so on and on and on. When the teacher gives up Al proudly exclaims: " Ha!- looser!"When Al in spring 2007 schould participate in the National online test in Danish he ran into severe troubles. He saw in the texts so many variables and found it so hard to prioritise, that, inspite of good understanding, he proceeded wery slow. From his seat, he was forced to watch other pupils walk away finished, while he himself was stuck in considerations. The experience schocked him so much, that he was released from the test in physics later the same day.
