Scenario 5

Smalltalk
Brian is a 17 year old young man. He often participates with great enthusiasm in social gatherings among his friends and family. He has a hard time getting into conversation that does not include cars and cats, that are his special interest. Any invitation for conversation is cut off with a short “Yes!” or “No!” Brian, on the other hand, likes talking for prolonged periods if the subject is within his interests. In these situations it is almost impossible for others to enter the conversation.
Brian needs training in conversation outside his major subjects and he needs to accept others in conversation.

Scenario 4

Friends
Joe is a 13 year old boy who desperately wants friends to be with in his spare time. He once had a friend. They shared interest in online gaming. Joe who was very passionate about the game called his friend day and night, when he got a new idea for the game. At some point the friendship broke and Joe has not had a friend since.
Joe needs training in being with friends in such a way, to avoid friends being overloaded and thereby growing tired of him.
He also needs training in approaching others who do not share his few interests.

Scenario 3

Sport
Conny is a 16 year old girl who is sporty and open. For many years she has trained herself to go to various leisure activities. She is talented within sports that are based on individual preformances. For the last couple of years, Conny has not bothered participating in leisure activities. She likes the sport activities, but she often ends up in awkvard situations with her sport mates. She often has difficulties understanding the social rules and even more difficulties understanding irony and understatements.
Connies difficulties understanding other people makes her feel more and more isolated and deprives her of the physical activity. She needs help interacting with other people, who do not have specialized knowledge of her autism. Especially in connection with social interaction and indirect language.

Youth Jobs

Willy is a 14 year old boy, who in many ways can profit from a youth job. He has many strenghts in organizing and other manual labour fields like floor sweeping. He strongly dislikes being corrected or instructed, when he has started his job. He gets depressed and feels diminished.
The major problem in this connection is that he becomes very aggressive, when confronted.
This is percived by the surroundings as strange and offensive- Willy needs help to improve his ability to recieve instruction and react sensibly when instructed.

Scenario 1 Changing School

Changing School
Bob is a 15 year old boy. In the past years he has changed school approximately once a year. It is very hard for him to change school. Every change has meant months for him to get accostumed to the new routines of the new school.This has great personal cost to him. He gets sad and introvert every time he changes school. While the transition takes place he does not profit from teaching and his development is stagnant. He needs help to to train the different problematic elements connected to changing school. After training the various elements can be isolated and improved individually. Eg. How to act when Bob is insecure about his seat in the classroom? Who to talk to when I need a toilet? Where can I smoke? How do I react when I feel unfairly treated etc.
